In September of last year, our dog Benson was diagnosed with "dry eye." He was receiving treatment but it didn't seem to be working and he was obviously in pain. We had a consult with Dr Guy, who started Ben on another medication which unfortunately did not help either. So he had to have his left eye removed. He recovered very well but unfortunately he started to get the same problem in his left eye. We had another consult with Gr Guy and he suggested a solution that would, most likely, eliminate the problem totally. The surgery he proposed was to remove a salivary gland from the right hand side of Ben's jaw and implant it into the corner of his right eye. The salivary gland was to replace the tear ducts in Ben's eye that was not working. I must admit that l was a bit sceptical at first but there was just no other choice. We had the surgery done and he was home later that afternoon. The next day l could see immediately that there was moisture coming out of his right eye! The surgery was a complete success and l could see that Ben was so much happier. Dr Guy l can honestly say that you saved that dogs life. If we had removed the other eye he wouldn't be able to run around the way he is now. Wouldn't be able to go to the beach, go swimming or do any of the other things that makes a dog's life such joy. You have given him a new pain free life and we will always be deeply grateful for giving us back our gorgeous and happy dog. Well done and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Ben is very special to us and it's wonderful to see him living his best life without pain!!!

I honestly cannot praise Guy enough for everything he did for my furbaby and myself. He went above and beyond in not only fighting to save my girls eye but also in helping me understand everything that was happening to her and explaining clearly what the next steps might be, good and bad. 5 different vets (2 in emergency clinic, 2 at a local clinic and her usual vet when we finally got home) all cannot believe that an eye so infected and rupturing out of its socket was saved at all, never mind majority of her eye sight returning also!!
